Great article and thought. I have done literally all the home decorating. My wife has been fine with it since the time we were married. Now I tend to lean towards different shade grey with splashes of color.
To me it just look cool and clean. On the walls vintage advertising art and some of my works. I gravitate towards mid century modern and industrial. I can appreciate many styles but the home has to be clean and organized.

We have two dogs and I feel Iike I clean every day. They are like kids with toys all over the floor.
