I grew up 20 mile south of Lafayette Louisiana. Sure, like any State you can find run down older homes for under $200K. If you did some research, you would also see that there are hundreds of homes going for well over a million dollars. Many celebrities have purchased homes in Louisiana.

People love to beat up on Mississippi, me included. However, we recently went to a family reunion in Oxford MS. This is a beautiful Southern town which is home to the University of Mississippi. There were a multitude of beautiful homes well over $500K. Every person we encountered was very polite.

I have lived in California since 1996. California has continued to slide downward in livability while the crime rate continues to go up. The current Governor, Newsom continues to inflict damage on the State. Would a person rather live in Oakland with homeless on every corner or Louisiana or some of the other States in your article?
