Joseph in this article hits on several points I have screamed about since the very beginning of Covid. Well when it comes to obesity actually before C-19 was a household word.

Obesity is a major contributor to death in America. I am an EH&S Manager, the “H” stands for Health and I have been in the profession for 35 years. I have worked for several high profile companies and made it my mission to promote health.

Once I put on a seminar where I had several speakers. One was a friend who did a research study which showed obesity was spreading throughout America at a rapid rate. She spoke about how fast and processed food was contributing to a high number of illnesses including diabetes and heart attacks.

The following week I was asked to attend a meeting with the HR Director. She was not happy. She went on to tell me that she had several complaints about the speakers presentation and that many felt personally offended. I will say that all ten of the HR manager on the HR management team were morbidly obese including the HR Director. Many people including Physicians are in denial about obesity. Many in the final moments of their life are laying in a hospital bed wondering why them, or wondering what they could have done differently when the answers are right in front of them.

While working for an for an Areospace company, the I have promoted health I was responsible for Covid 19 preventative management. We took all the necessary steps and while I was in the position we did not have a work related Covid infection for two years. That said that does not mean that people did not get exposed to Covid in other area of their life. Of those that did catch Covid, people who were over weight or out of shape took longer to recover.

In January I had a friend who had diabetes and did not follow a proper diet or exercise. He came down with Covid and spend six months in the hospital, now he a possible candidate for a lung transplant.

I encourage all who are reading this to exercise regularly, to eat a proper diet or healthy food that is balanced for your body. If you do this you will not only feel better but there is a high chance you will extend your life.
