More than once you mentioned conservatives want to do away with SS then you say the conservative want to do away with SS. Then more than once you say they want to modify the program more like a 401K. So what is it? Many people would make way more money for retirement using the 401K conservative (republicans) approach. There would need to be safety measures put in place that a minimum taken out of the pay check goes to the retirement program. Set up 4-5 saving investment options that each individual could chose from.

Another approach is that more democrats start going to work and earning a pay check to contribute towards funding the SS program for current and the future generations.
