Unfortunately, this article lacks hard scientific data to support the claims made about toxic contamination and poor management practices that occurred on a city and industrial level. What you are left with are hearsay and bitterness.

As an Environmental Professional I find it disappointing that people are often lied to when it comes to climate change and the possible effects that may or may not occur. Pollution and Climate Change are often portrayed as one and the same. It's not. The climate has changed for over a thousand years and will continue to do so. As far as pollution, we should be doing everything possible to prevent it, clean it up as well as hold those responsible accountable.

Control of pollution and protecting the citizens is something the government should have done on a local and state level. They are as much to blame and the corporations that opened and closed business in that area.
