We are currently in Warsaw visiting my wife’s family. We met my wife’s first cousin for dinner. The last time I saw her was at our wedding reception in a small village in Southern Poland where her parents grew up.

So it was nice to catch up and learn more about her life. She works for the Polish Government in Cybersecurity and she said that is all she could say about her job. She has a PHD and had offers from companies that offered substantially more money, yet she turned them down out of a duty to serve her country in some capacity.

When I asked her about her relationship. She said she was single and had become tired of men looking at her as some sugar momma. They were always short on money, living with the parents or saving to buy an apartment.

I have several female friends who are very successful in their careers as well as committed to the work they do. I see it as a very hard world for these successful and beautiful friends.
