Wonderful writing. I was also class if 81 and attended my 40th last fall. It was the first one that I attended and honestly figured I would not recognize the majority of my classmates. Well I recognized about sixty percent.

I did not have the greatest elementary or high school experience and in many ways I can relate to what you have written. I felt so out of place that I felt it was necessary to move away and start over. To try to be more true to myself. I experienced setbacks but 40 years later I can say I had many successful accomplishments and have made many friends.

The reunions was actually a great experience and most have moved on from the past and are more accepting.
